Frequently Asked Questions About The Program
Q. What is the Air Force ROTC Program?
A. The ROTC program is one of three routes to become commissioned as an Air Force Officer.
During your college career, as you pursue your college degree, you also take Aerospace
classes and different types of training. At the completion of which, when you get your
college degree, you also get a commission as an Officer in the U.S. Air Force.
Q. If I join the ROTC program, am I committed to join the Air Force?
A. No, joining the ROTC program does not mean you must join the Air Force. In fact,
there is no obligation until after you are contracted, meaning you have either completed
Field Training, or accepted a scholarship.
