Frequently Asked Questions About Scholarships

Q. If I apply for a high school scholarship, am I obligated to the Air Force?

A. No. Applying for an Air Force ROTC scholarship does not obligate you in any way.

Four-year scholarship recipients do not incur any obligation until the start of their Sophomore

year.

Q. How do I apply for a scholarship after I am already in the program?

A. You don’t. Once you are in the program and have completed all the necessary requirements for

getting a scholarship, your info is automatically submitted to receive one. Several students

are chosen every semester to receive these In-College Scholarships.

Q. How can I increase my chances of getting an In-College Scholarship?

A. Simply show us that you want it by being an outstanding cadet. Be willing to learn and

participate both during classes and outside of them, help out your fellow cadets and

volunteer as often as possible.
